PANCREAS 2000



We are seeking young physicians (surgery, gastroenterology, oncology, paediatrics) interested to develop their skills in all of pancreatology.


You will be part of a class of 26-28 participants, mentored by a dozen of experts in all aspects of Pancreatology: Physiology, Acute pancreatitis, Chronic pancreatitis, Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, Cystic neoplasms of the pancreas, Hereditary pancreatitis/familiar pancreatic cancer, and, of course, Adenocarcinoma of the pancreas.


The categories are diagnosis (imaging - endoscopy [ERCP/US/EUS]), etiology, pathology, treatment (endoscopy – medical – surgery etc.).



The Pancreas 2000 program is the official postgraduate activity of the EPC (European Pancreas Club). We have CME accreditation throughout the entire program.

There are three columns in Pancreas 2000: (1) education in pancreatology; (2) education in leadership (personal professional development, ethics, presentation, publication etc.); (3) idea, design, conduct and publication of a study with the area of pancreatology.

The third part has become a real success with many excellent publications stemming from the program. We cover journals such as GUT and Clinical Gastroenterology&Hepatology. Please google/PubMed "Pancreas 2000”

All 2 ½ day meetings held strategically at places well accessible (airports of Frankfurt, Munich, Copenhagen, Milano), now running course 8.

- letter of you supervisor clearly stating that you will have time to pursue a project and participate in 5 meetings (2x 2018, 2x 2019, 1x 2020)



Pancreas 2000 will cover all expenses from the moment you step out of the plane until you reboard. All other expenses are to be covered by your institution or national sponsors (e.g. Mylan/Abbott).
